7News anchors and local first responders to assist in Operation Toy Lift

News

Operation Toy Lift returns to the Ohio Valley Mall Dec. 8.

For the second consecutive year, 7News anchors and local first responders will be in bucket trucks collecting toys for kids who may not get something for Christmas.

“The concept is ‘Operation Toy Lift – Raising Hope for Children in the Ohio Valley’, and some of your own colleagues will be up in the bucket, waving at motorists,” said Chief Shawn Schwertfeger, Wheeling Police Department. “That’s rain, snow, sleet, sun, whatever Mother Nature throws at us that day — we’ll be there, no matter what.”

The bucket trucks will be set up in the Ohio Valley Mall parking lot in front of Macy’s from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
