A Belmont County woman is facing three charges after alleging stealing thousands from a local cemetery.
Paloma Resources LLC, a gas and oil company, testified against Karen Sue Neff after she signed a gas and oil lease for the Belmont County Memorial Park Association.
Subsequently, Neff receieved a huge check for it; $282,240 to be exact.
On each document, Paloma Resources LLC testified that Karen Neff had signed it as secretary of the Cemetery Association.
The financial shortages were discovered when people complained that the cemetery was not being maintained.
The trial is expected to last a few days.
