“Breakfast Among the Trees” showcases customized Christmas Trees, raises money for Oglebay Institute

News

If you’re not feeling the Christmas spirit yet, this story will likely get you there.

Here’s a look at the holiday spirit inside the Stifel Fine Arts Center in Wheeling.

The Oglebay Institute held a special breakfast there this morning where kids and parents made Christmas themed crafts and even did dances with Big Foot.

It’s all part of the institute’s Festival of Trees where they’re selling customized Christmas trees to raise money.

“As a non-profit, we rely heavily on the support of the community to be able to do all that we do. In fact, 50 percent of our operating budget comes from contributing support of some kind,” said Danielle Cross-McCracken, President, Oglebay Institute.

If you’d like to purchase any of the trees you see here, you can visit the center anytime during regular business hours.

All proceeds go back into the institute.
