A Louisiana couple discovered a hidden treasure in their own house while tidying up before guests arrived for Thanksgiving.

According to WTVR CBS, Harold and Tina Ehrenberg found several lottery tickets on their nightstand while cleaning up the house.

After examining the numbers, Harold and Tina realized they had a winning ticket, worth $1.8 million.

Theirs was the only winning ticket during the drawing on June 6, WTVR CBS reports.

If the married couple would have found the ticket two weeks later, they wouldn’t have been able to claim the ticket.

Winners must claim their prize within 180 days after the drawing.

WTVR CBS says the Ehrenbergs took home $1.2 million after taxes, and will put their earning towards retirement.
