Bluefield Police find drugs, guns in car

Officers with the Bluefield Police Department found guns and drugs in a car after responding to a disturbance call.

On Thursday, November 29, officers received information about a man allegedly brandishing a weapon on Larch Street in Bluefield. That is when they found Donquale Gray and his Jeep.

Officers reportedly saw an assault style rifle in plain sight inside Gray’s car. After further investigation, officers recovered a 7.62 AK style rifle, Drum magazine, seventy-five 7.62×39 mm bullets, four bags containing what is believed to be 12 grams of Cocaine, three unidentifiable round pills, $817.00 in USD currency, and one container with 71 grams of Marijuana packaged for individual sale.

Gray was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I &II.

He was arraigned in Mercer County Magistrate Court.
