An autopsy is underway after an alleged murder took place Thursday morning in Brookside.
According to officials, a 37-year-old woman was shot and killed outside of a home in a driveway along Driggs Lane.
Initial reports show that the woman was shot in the torso.
Rudolph Richard Galberth Jr., 36, is being held in the Belmont County Jail on a murder charge in connection to this case.
According to officials, Galberth and the victim, Amy Bulter, were living together. There are conflicting reports as to whether the two were married or not.
Galberth Jr. appeared in court this morning. He told the judge that he currently has no money for an attorney.
Galberth Jr. is being held on a $1 million bond.
Amy’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral arrangements.
Bridgeport Police Chief John Bumba has confirmed that an arrest has been made in connection to an early morning alleged murder.

According to Police Chief Bumba, one male has been detained for questioning at this time, but no one has been arrested in connection to an early morning alleged murder.

There is a heavy police presence this morning along Driggs Lane in Brookside as officials investigate an incident.
A neighbor tells 7News that he awoke at 5:10 a.m. to the sound of two gunshots, followed by a scream, then a second set of two gunshots.
The neighbor told 7News that he went outside and saw what he believes was someone lying dead in the yard. The witness says that he believes it may have been a woman, but officials have not confirmed this information.
According to the neighbor, he did not know the suspected victim personally.
The man said his wife is very upset because it’s “a terrible shock that this could happen” in a quiet area like this.
Ohio BCI Crime Scene Unit is also on the site.
