BREAKING: Amber Alert CANCELED, Child found safe

UDPATE 6: 45 A.M.

According to Wheeling Police, the missing boy has been located in Moundsville, WV. He is safe.

The Amber Alert has been canceled and arrest warrants are being obtained.

More details are expected later Friday morning.


New Details:  5 a.m.

According to Wheeling Police, a domestic argument between Zachary Steele and Breeca Steele unfolded at Zachary’s house in the Fulton area of Wheeling Thursday night.

According to police, a family member of Breeca’s used an axe to get into the home. They reportedly took the child, 6-year-old Akexton, and loaded him into the truck and may have been headed towards the Moundsville area.

At approximately 9 pm Thursday family members of the estranged ex-wife of Zachary Steele used an axe to break into the residence of Zachary Steele and remove Akexton Steele.

A confrontation ensued and the father, Zachary Steele, was threatened with a knife.

The child was loaded into a maroon in color 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 with WV registration 3EX990. This occurred in Ohio County West Virginia and believes the suspects are traveling to Marshall County WV.
