Call leads to drug arrest on Wheeling Island

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) - A Cleveland man is facing major drug charges after being arrested by Wheeling Police Department Thursday evening.

Authorities received a call around 7 p.m. about suspicious activity invovling a vehicle on Wheeling Island. 

Police noted a marijuana odor upon arriving on the scene.

The occupant got out of the car and police pursued the suspect on foot. 

Timothy D. Norman, 37, was caught shortly afterwards and Wheeling PD discovered a large amount of crack cocaine, in addition to heroin, cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills.

Norman is being charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and currently sits in the Northern Regional Jail.
