FBI looking for Pennsylvania man after allegedly threatening the President

Crimes and Courts

A Pennsylvania man is wanted for allegedly making threatening statements against President Trump among other people.

According to the FBI, Shawn Christy of McAdoo, Pennsylvania is currently on the run after reportedly posting threats against the President as well as several law enforcement officers (including a police chief), and a district attorney. The posts were made between June 3 and 12 of this year.

In one such post, the FBI says that Christy threatened to shoot President Trump in the head, and he would use “lethal force” on any law enforcement trying to detain him.

On June 19, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Christy by the U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania, after he was charged with Interstate Communication of Threats and Threats Against the President of the United States.

On July 29, Christy allegedly stole a vehicle from Butler Township, Pennsylvania. That car was located today in West Virginia, in the town of Nitro.

Authorities say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, and may be in possession of several stolen handguns.

Christy is reportedly a 5′ 10″ white male, weighing 165 pounds with brown hair.

The FBI says that they are offering up to $10,000 leading to his arrest. If you have any information, contact your local FBI office or the American Embassy or Consulate.
