It was a busy day, Friday, for the Belmont County Major Crimes Unit.

They took thousands of marijuana plants off of the streets from various locations throughout the county.

According to Commander, John McFarland, the unit made a drug sweep across the county and in the end they confiscated 2,562 marijuana plants.
