Moundsville man indicted on drug charges

A Moundsville man was arraigned Friday in federal court after being indicted by a federal grand jury on December 5th on drug charges.

According to officials, Carl N. Hooker, 55, was indicted on one count of “Conspiracy to distribute and to possess with the intent to distribute oxycodone” and three counts of “Distribution of Oxycodone.”

Hooker is accused of conspiring with others to distribute oxycodone, as well as selling oxycodone from 2009 to November 2017 in Marshall County.

According to officials, Hooker faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1 million for each count if convicted.
