New Martinsville Police searching for suspect in attempted mugging

New Martinsville police need your help finding a man who allegedly tried to mug a woman outside of Rite Aid on Saturday. 

Police Chief Tim Cecil says the man took off running after trying to steal the woman’s purse.

He says the suspect is about 5’10” and was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, and a black toboggan.
