Crimes and Courts

An Ohio woman has been arrested after allegedly impersonating a police officer.

Police say Marlese Lopez, 45, was standing outside of local pain clinics and telling patients that she was a plain-clothes officer investigating the clinic. She would tell patients that she needed to inspect their pills, in search of Oxycontin.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was on the run. She was arrested by the Martins Ferry Police Department and taken to the Belmont County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
