A Wheeling man has been arrested for failure to register as a sex offender after allegedly attempting to kick in the door of a house on Chapline Street.

Just before 5:00 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 2800 block of Chapline Street for a Breaking and Entering in progress.

Neighbors told the police that they saw a man attempting to pry open and kick open the door to a home.

Officers reportedly searched the area and found Charles Beever. According to officials, Beever had a felony warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
