Sheriff: “Suspicious circumstances warrant major investigation” in Ohio County

Crimes and Courts

Ohio County Sheriff Tom Howard has said that they are investigating what they call “suspicious circumstances” that led to an “unattended death” on Wednesday night.

Sheriff Howard confirms his deputies responded to a call at a house on Boone and Hedges Road off of GC&P Road around 9 p.m.

“This situation warrants further investigation before we release more information,” Howard said.

Howard added that an autospy is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office will release more details following the autopsy.

Deputies are still investigating at the house. It has yet to be released to the owners.
