St. Clairsville bank robbery suspect still at large

UPDATE: 4:30 

We are told the Police are actively looking for that suspect.

St. Clairsville Police Chief Jeff Henry tells me that his officers received a tip that the suspect got away in a Red Pontiac.

Officers later found that car wrecked on the side of the interstate.

A passer by picked him up and dropped him in Quaker City.

That person has been interviewed by Police and has only been identified as a witness at this time.

Departments in Noble and Guernsey Counties have been notified to aid in the search.


UPDATE, 1:08 p.m.: Police have released a surveillance image of the alleged suspect.


UPDATE, 12:26 p.m.: Police say that St. Clairsville and St. Mary’s schools are both under lockdown, as the alleged suspect is still on the run.

Police also say that the suspect did not have a weapon.


Police are on the scene of a bank robbery in St. Clairsville.

The Huntington Bank on Main and Marietta Streets was robbed Friday morning by an unknown assailant, according to St. Clairsville Police Chief Jeff Henry. Whether or not the suspect was armed is also unknown.

Police are currently looking at surveillance footage of the incident.
