The Belmont County sheriff’s office says they have pulled off one of the biggest crystal meth seizures in county history after seizing over a quarter-pound of the drug.
According to deputies, they were able to get the following in custody after allegedly finding them in the middle of a drug deal.
“It was so, so quick and unbelievable that they were startled in the midst. They was actually doing the drug deal to where they had no place to get rid of the drug,” said Sheriff Dave Lucas. “They actually, one threw the drugs in the vehicle from the investigation of all the total amount on the, what we believe is crystal meth, you know, they’re looking about a quarter-pound, it was over 160 grams of crystal meth, $1600 roughly in cash plus other drug paraphernalia.”
Daniel K. Stoltey, 42 of Flushing, Ohio, and Chad A. Markle, 31 of Wheeling, and Amber K. Green, 29 of Wheeling were all taken into custody.
Sheriff Lucas believes that this is the largest crystal meth seizure in Belmont County history.
