Two people, a man and a woman, have been arrested after the Belmont County Drug Task Force found over two ounces of cocaine inside their home.
Acting Bellaire Police Dick Flanagan says the male is facing felony aggravated drug trafficking and possession charges. While, the female is facing felony possession and complicity.
A neighbor told 7News she’s hopeful, but this isn’t anything new. She’s seen this same house raided before, and someone else just takes over. Flanagan has a different take.
“If you’re going to deal dope in Bellaire, get out. It’s just that simple, we’re not going to tolerate it,” Flanagan said. “We need the citizens to start helping us take back our communities, and that’s everywhere in the county.”
They also recovered a stolen vehicle. There was also a loaded gun next to the male when the drug task force entered the home. The male is from Canton, while the female is a local woman.
There were also children staying inside the house.
