Two sentenced for drug charges in Ohio Valley

A Marshall County man and a Belmont County woman have been sentenced on drug charges in Ohio County.

The two cases are unrelated.

According to a release from the United States Attorney’s Office, Ronald Lee Shaw, 46, of Moundsville was sentenced on Thursday to 33 months incarceration for drug distribution.

Shaw, also known as ‘Fuzz’, pled guilty to one count of “Distribution of Cocaine within 1,000 feet of a Protected Location” in September 2017.

Shaw admitted to selling cocaine near Riverview Towers in Wheeling on April 18, 2017.

Faith Diane Leasure, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Thursday to 36 months incarceration for her role in a crack cocaine distribution operation.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Leasure, 23, pled guilty to one count of “Aiding and Abetting the Distribution of Crack Cocaine.”

Leasure admitted to selling crack cocaine in Ohio County in August 2016.

The Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated both cases.
