Wetzel County residents admit to multi-state drug ring

Two residents of Wetzel County have admitted their roles in a drug ring that spanned multiple states.

Wilson Longwell, 27 of Littleton and Haley Weigle, 25 of New Martinsville, have both admitted their roles in a methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin distribution operation, according to U.S Attorney Bill Powell.

Longwell pled guilty to one count of “Conspiracy to Distribute and to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances,” and admitted to conspiring to sell drugs in Wetzel County, as well as other parts of West Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia.

Weigle pled guilty to one count of “Aiding and Abetting Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin.” Weigle admitted to distributing heroin in Wetzel County in 2017.

They each face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
