Wheeling man admits to firearm, meth charges

A Wheeling man has admitted to firearm and drug charges, according to United States Attorney Bill Powell.

Peter Hankish, 43, was indicted on one count of “Unlawful Possession of a Firearm” and one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.”

Hankish was previously convicted of Theft in the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps General Court. According to an official report, he possessed 7.62 caliber rifle. 

Hankish admitted to possessing methamphetamine.

The crimes reportedly occurred in April 2017 in Ohio County.
