West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) will issue an early release of February Supplemental Nurtition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
SNAP benefits will be release Sunday, Jan. 20. This is a result of the partial federal government shutdown.
“It’s important to note that SNAP recipents will not receive SNAP benefits in February,” said Linda Watts, Commissioner of DHHR’s Bureau for Children and Families.
The DHHR will continue to accept and process SNAP applications.
Funding for SNAP recipents remain uncertain for the month of March.
