Dozens disposed of medication for National Drug Take-Back Day

Kroger and the Cardinal Health Foundation partned up once more on Saturday.

This is all part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administation’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

The public was able to dispose of any unused and expired medications at several Kroger locatons across the country. 

The following Kroger stores will be participating in the Ohio Valley area:

  • 264 South Hollywood Blvd, Steubenville, OH 43952
  • 200 Mt. DeChantal Road, Wheeling, WV 26003

Local law enforcement was onsite at Kroger stores for assistance. 

The National Drug Take-Back Day in 2018 resulted in the safe disposal of more than 40,000 pounds of unused prescription drugs nationwide.
