West Virginia Northern Community College released the findings of a recent economic impact study.
The study measures the impact created by the college on the community and the the benefits that it generates for students and taxpayers.
“The college thought it was important to quantify the what the real contributions are to the community. So they funded the survey to see what the impact is,” said Michael Coon, the interim president of WVNCC.
Koon says he is pleased by a number of the study’s results including student investment income.
