Deadline to apply for FEMA assistance coming up

Time is starting to run out for West Virginia communities, counties, and certain non-profit organizations affected by the February 2018 floods to apply for assistance through FEMA.

The deadline for filing requests for assistance in May 17th.

Damage from the severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides must have taken place from February 14th through February 20th.

Local counties that are included in the Presidential Declaration include:

  • Brooke
  • Hancock
  • Marshall
  • Ohio
  • Tyler
  • Wetzell
