UPDATE: Highway reopened after head-on vehicle accident along I-70 Eastbound

UPDATE:

New details are available after a head-on vehicle accident near the bottom of 2 Mile Hill Monday afternoon.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tom Howard, a vehicle heading westbound on I-70 crossed through the median and struck a vehicle head-on traveling along I-70 eastbound.

The accident involved two vehicles.

The passengers were all transported for medical treatment.

Howard said the highway was shutdown to one lane for a period of time, but has since been reopened.
