"Project Hope" pampers local homeless women

WHEELING, W.Va (WTRF) - There was a really special spa day at the McClure hotel in Downtown Wheeling Sunday.

A non-profit organization called "Project Hope" pampered local women who are homeless or have or are currently suffering from domestic abuse.

There were a series of helpers who made the spa day possible. Ulta Beauty provided haircuts while the Elite Academy of hair helped style their new hairdos. Physical Therapy students from Wheeling Jesuit also helped out by offering massages.

The free event wasn't totally about having a fabulous girls day, however.

There were also a series of guest speakers there who educated the ladies about women's health and domestic violence.
