An area hospital has been recognized for it’s use of healthcare information technology
Reynolds Memorial is one of eight WVU Medicine hospitals that have been named to the 2018 Health Care’s Most Wired List.
To make the list a hospital must submit to a survey of questions about the use of technology to improve patient experience.
The survey has been used over the past 20 years to identify the best use of healthcare technology.
“We have placed an emphasis on making technology work for the patient by keeping their information safe,” explained Dr. David Hess, President and CEO of Reynolds Memorial Hospital. “We also gave then the opportunity to really access their information the information and be an engaged healthcare consumer. We want them to be able to message their physicians to get labs as quickly as they can, so that they understand what’s going on with their condition as well.”
This marks the first year Reynolds Memorial has made the Most Wired list.
