A big weekend for John Marshall High-School as students there are getting ready to hit the stage for their fall musical.
This year, they’re putting on the theatrical version of the classic, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” and they’re doing it in style!
It’s the premier weekend of their newly renovated performing arts center. The center includes brand new stage flooring, cherry stained sound shelves and a new lighting system.
Members of the production say the renovation has been several years in the making.
“This is the first time that we’ve been able to have a fall production in this space, in three years,” said Tracey Filben, Director, Band and Theater, JMHS.
So far, the students are loving their new performance area. They say there is a lot more space and the lighting displays take the production to the next level.
A Charlie Brown Christmas will be open to the public Saturday and Sunday. Both shows begin at 2p.m.
After the show wraps Sunday, they’ll be auctioning off pieces of the set for a dollar a ticket. Winners will be chosen at random.
