Congressman Bill Johnson paid a visit to a local university on Monday.
Congressman Johnson along with Ohio State Senator Frank LaRose toured Franciscan University of Steubenville.
After a brief meeting with University officials, they visited several areas around campus, including the nursing department.
They also met with Dr. Daniel Kuebler in the University’s science lab, where they discussed his research in regenerative medicine as well as adult stem cell research projects.
Johnson said Franciscan University has a national reputation for providing top quality education.
“This is the next generation,” added Congressman Johnson (R-Marietta). “I mean these young people get the amazing challenge and responsibility to write the next great chapter of America’s journey and I’m confident they are going to do a great job.”
While on campus, Congressman Johnson also had the opportunity to meet with several of the University’s ROTC students.
