There was a very Italian St. Patrick’s Day party in the Ohio Valley this weekend.
Vino Di Piccin’s Winery and Tasting House, Lansing, OH held their second annual Patty’s Day party on Saturday.
The event which features a day full live bands, drinks and food was such a success last year that the family winery decided to give the people another one.
“Last year we far exceeded what we expected to do. We recieved a lot of great comments,” said John Piccin, President, Vino Di Piccin
The smell of fermented grapes filled the air inside the shamrock decorated production facility where the party took place.
Green beers were swapped for green wine slushies mixed from two, sweet, white wines from the Piccin’s winery. These green grape colored slushies have developed a delicious reputation.
The Piccin’s wine slushies stumbled across a pot of luck last year. John Piccin said they poured over 750 in one day.
The winery serves their esteemed slushies during the spring and summer months but they go back into the vault during the fall and winter. St. Patrick’s Day weekend marks their re-entry into the winery’s arsenal of punch packing wine beverages.
The party runs from 12p.m. to 11p.m. Saturday.
There is a $5 cover fee at the door if you want to watch the live bands.
