The National Association of Royalty Owners or NARO is holding an oil and gas town hall meeting next week in Moundsville.
The event is from 6 to 8 PM at the Moundsville Center, formerly the West Virginia Penitentiary. It is free to public, and refreshments will be served.
Gold, Khourey and Turak is a proud member of NARO and will be partnering with them to put on this meeting.
They are encouraging those who own any mineral rights to attend and fully understand how to get the most out of what they have. Jonathan Turak with Gold, Khourey and Turak says, “I think it’s really important for everybody that is a mineral right owner has signed a lease, expects to receive royalties or is expecting, or is already receiving royalties.”
There will be a panel of experts that will be taking questions about any topics regarding their rights, leases, taxes. Valerie Antonette, Interim President of Appalachia Chapter of NARO, says they will be discussing leases, royalties clauses, royalty provisions, royalty check stubs, how you’re being paid, severance taxes, any personal income tax and accounting questions, and updates in the law.
