Pittsburgh native Gabby Barrett is a top three American Idol finalist, and on Tuesday she paid a visit to her hometown ahead of the upcoming season finale.
Thousands of fans came out to follow Gabby around Pittsburgh, as she started at a Goodwill store in West Mifflin greeting fans. Following that, Gabby was the star of a parade downtown, throwing the first pitch at the Pirates game, and then hosting a free concert for her fans.
Gabby’s idol is country music superstar Carrie Underwood, and she delighted the crowd with some of her favorite country songs.
7News reporter Kathryn Ghion followed Gabby around Pittsburgh Tuesday and got to talk to her about her success.
