(WTRF) Select pints of the Chunky Monkey flavor and some bulk containers of Coconut Seven Layer Bar are impacted by the voluntary recall, Ben & Jerry’s parent company Unilever announced Monday in a release published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The products may contain tree nuts such as almonds, Brazil nuts, and hazelnuts, the company says. The products’ labels do have warnings noting “Contains Walnuts” and a “May contain other tree nuts,” a release says.

“Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to these undeclared tree nuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled products,” the release says.

Affected Chunky Monkey pints have a consumer UPC number of 076840100354. The products have “best by” dates of AUG2820BH2, AUG2920BH2 or AUG3020BH2.

The issue occurred due to an error with one of Ben & Jerry’s nut suppliers and has been resolved, the release says. The problem was discovered during the production of the products.
