27 indictments were returned after the Ohio County Circuit Court Grand Jury met Tuesday, according to the county prosecutor.

One of these indictments is a murder charge against a Freda F. Davis, 37 of Williamson, West Virginia.

Gerald Jako, a 33-year-old Wheeling man, was also indicted for a first-degree robbery charge, as well as the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Jako was also named in August as a person of interest in the case of a missing couple from Wheeling. The couple’s remains were postively identified after being found burned in Raleigh County.

The Ohio County Prosecutor’s Office reminds residents that the indictments contain allegations, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
