Gov. Kasich orders flags at half-staff to honor victims of Annapolis, Md. shooting

Ohio Governor John Kasich has called for all flags in the state of Ohio to fly at half-staff to honor the victims of the Capital Gazette shooting in Annapolis.

In a release from the Governor’s office, all flags must be flown at half-staff until sunset on July 3.

Gov. Kasich included a statement, which read: β€œIn accordance with the orders issued today by the President of the United States of America to honor the victims of the attack perpetrated on June 28, 2018 in Annapolis, Maryland, I hereby proclaim…that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio, effective immediately until sunset, July 3, 2018.”
