Officials are working to clean up a poisonous chemical spill off of SR-7 northbound.
The spill happened just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday just off of the 4th Street exit in Toronto when a barrel of nitric acid reportedly fell off of its truck and rolled down a hill, spilling roughly 25 gallons.
The EPA will be on scene around 2 p.m. to test the area and authorize clean-up.
Officials say that this is not a threat to the public, and fumes are dissipating quickly. Ohio State Highway Patrol is also investigating.
