7News has received several concerned messages about a deer in St. Clairsville that appears to have a pumpkin bucket stuck on its head.
According to Ohio DNR Officer Brian Baker, DNR officers, alongside the St.Clairsville police, have been trying to approach the deer to help it, and it runs away.
Officer Baker says he has been working with the DNR for 20 years, and this is the first time he’s ever dealt with this situation.
He said helping the deer is a challenge. Officers cannot tranquilize the deer because they do not carry tranquilizers, because it is dangerous to humans and animals if given the wrong dosage.
Officer Baker says he has received many phone calls from concerned residents attempting to help the deer.
If you should see the deer you can call the DNR office or St. Clairsville Police.
