CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – State Senator Richard Ojeda (D) announced that he is resigning from the West Virginia State Senate sometime next week.
Sen. Ojeda said that he is stepping down to focus on his 2020 Presidential Campaign.
Sen. Ojeda announced his presidential campaign on Monday, November 12th, 2018, at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
By law, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice (R) must appoint a Democrat to fill Sen Ojeda’s seat.
