Pittsburgh Synagogue victims to be honored during Israel’s Independence Day

News

Independence Day for the U.S. won’t arrive until July 4 but Israel will pay a special tribute to the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting victims during their Independence Day on May 8.

Jeff Finkelstein, the president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, will take part in the holiday festivities.

Finkelstein will participate in the torch lighting on behalf of the Jewish Diaspora.

The Israel’s Culture Ministry noted that they are pleased with Finkelstein’s work in leading the Pittsburgh Jewish community since the tragedy.
