Not only are all eyes on local and state races, there’s a chance to flip the Republican majority in the House of Representatives.
Long-time CBS contributor Bob Schieffer gave his input about this year’s election.
This is his 25th election night with CBS, but he says this is the first one where he is really unsure about the results.
He says a lot of results will be determined by the amount of female and minority voters who show up to the polls.
He also says the results will determine Trump’s approval rating, whether the voters like or don’t like what he hs been saying or doing since he was elected in 2016.
When Bob was asked his opinion on the House majority, he said it’s too close to call but he believes the House has a good chance of getting flipped to the left.
“There are about 30 races now that not only too close to call, they’re within a margin of error,” Schieffer continued. “When you have that many races, you don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s pretty hazardous to make a guess. For once, we’re just going to have to wait and see what the voters do and which voters go to the polls.”
CBS will be airing it’s special election coverage Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. on WTRF-CBS.
