Rally in the Ville for the Kids was held in support of the Indian Creek School District’s proposed levy, but it was not like any typical political rally you have ever seen.
With bounce houses, face painting, and cotton candy, this rally was centered around children.
That is because children are the people that supporters say this levy will benefit.
“The reason why it’s needed is that our kids are sitting in facilities that right now really aren’t up to standard. They’re not sitting in facilities where they should be with updated security, updated health and safety features, and things like that,” said Superintendent Dr. T.C. Chappelear.
The levy currently on the ballot is a 6.1-mill measure that would fund renovations to Hills Elementary and build a new elementary and high school.
Apollo Pro Cleaning and Restoration decided to host the Rally in the Ville to show their support for the levy and encourage people to head to the polls.
“I feel as community people that we have an obligation to think about the generations down the road. That’s a part of our legacy,” said Apollo President and CEO Antony Mougianis.
Apollo even provided shuttles for registered voters to participate in early voting.
If you do not early vote, do not forget the Ohio primary is coming up on Tuesday, May 8.
