The Cathedral of St. Joseph held Easter services

Many people’s Easter celebrations start bright and early Easter Sunday in the pews of the church.

The Cathedral of St. Joseph held their Easter services today.
Church bells at the cathedral rang in a celebratory fashion as hundreds of Catholic Faith members gathered there.
The church’s beauty was immaculate and breathtaking.
The smell of spicy incense filled the air and fresh and decadent flower arrangements decorated every corner.
Every seat in the house was packed. Some stood around the aisles and others peered down from the balcony to hear the profound words of Reverend Kevin Quirk.
“I thought it was very enlightening. Father Kevin gave a tremendous homily.” said Jim Carol, Warwood.
Quirk’s message was essentially about finding God. He said when it comes to finding faith,  you don’t always have to go searching. You must trust that faith will find you.
As an example, he referenced the biblical teachings of the apostle Peter and his trust that John would lead the way to the tomb of Jesus Christ.
“A disciple whos love for the Lord kept his him rooted to his father and delivered him from fear and enabled him to stand at the foot of the cross,” said Quirk.
There were some other things being celebrated Sunday.
Sunday marked the 93rd birthday of St. Joseph Cathedral and was also the 2772nd anniversary of the founding of the city of Rome.
