Oglebay Resort has pretty much earned its stripes as a Wheeling treasure and on Saturday a group of volunteers teamed up to help keep it that way.
Around 60 people spread out across Oglebay on Saturday for My Park Volunteer Day.
It’s a day where volunteers can get involved and help spruce up the place to get ready for the spring and summer seasons.
Groups pulled nails from picnic tables, touched up paint at the tennis courts and even pulled weeds and shrubs.
“It is very nice to see all of these people help out because it is our park. It gives us a chance to get ready for the season,” said Mike Potts, Director of Operations, Oglebay.
Oglebay’s next big event is the Memorial Day celebration.
