A dog is safe and back home with his owners following an accident on the West Virginia Turnpike last week.

According to Fayette County Animal control, the dog, named Sloth, was lost after his family was involved in a car wreck on I-64 near the Mossy Exit. The family was traveling back home to Ohio.

They said Sloth has been wondering around in the woods near the highway and Paint Creek until he was rescued and reunited with his family on Tuesday.
