A Marshall County delegate is demanding the state take action to fix the county’s dangerous roads.
Just this week County Commissioners declared a countywide state of emergency, due to what they call the dangerous condition of the primary and secondary roads.
On Thursday, Delegate Joe Canestraro (D-Marshall County) invited Governor Justice and Transportation Secretary Byrd White on a personal tour next week of the county’s crumbling infrastructure.
Delegate Canestraro released this statement regarding the issue, saying,
“Governor Justice and Secretary White don’t travel our roads. They don’t know what it’s like, day in and day out, to travel impassable roads to get to work, take their children to school, or go to the doctor. Residents in the Northern Panhandle often feel forgotten or looked over by politicians in Charleston, but I refuse to let that happen.”
