Making history overseas: The Welds reflect on their trip

West Virginia Headlines

It’s not often that a vacation becomes a historic event, but that’s exactly what happened when West Virginia Senator Ryan Weld, and his wife Alex, traveled to London over the Fourth of July.

The Welds had the chance to sit in on the weekly Prime Minister’s Questions session in the House of Commons, making history in the meantime.

On their trip, the Welds also had the chance to meet the Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow and talk about the significance of adopting something similar in America.

Of course, the craziness didn’t stop there.

State Senator Weld was invited onto BBC News to also speak about his experience.
