West Virginia voting system to get a $6 million upgrade

The West Virginia voting system will be getting an upgrade.

State election officials have received more than $6 million in federal grants to upgrade equipment and security.

Officials said the funds will be used in 41 counties to upgrade or replace voting systems, to upgrade cybersecurity and to improve physical security where voting machines are stored.

A list of counties that will see the upgrades has not been released yet.
