Woman arrested for selling drugs to undercover officer

Belmont County Sheriffs’ department arrested a woman Tuesday afternoon near Bridgeport High School.

32-year-old Jennifer N. Burress of Tiltonsville was at work when a Belmont Country undercover officer went in, expressing an interest in buying drugs.

“One of them went into the business in Bridgeport and purchased $1,100 of cocaine off of an employee at the business,” said Chief Deputy James Zusack, Belmont County. “She was arrested on multiple drug charges. She also had additional drugs on her at the business at that time that were seized.”

Burress was found with additional amounts of cocaine, plus Ecstacy.

Officials are not releasing the the name of the business where she worked, but they say it’s less than a 1,000 feet from the school, which will increase her charges.

Burress is charged with two counts of trafficking and two counts of possession.

Her bond is $40,000.
