Pope Francis calls for peace on Easter Sunday

Christians around the world are celebrating Easter to mark the resurrection of Jesus.

Pope Francis presided over Easter mass at the Vatican before delivering his “Urbi et Orbi” message and blessing to the world.

Thousands gathered in Saint Peter’s Square to hear him.

The Pope said he hopes dialogue will help the Korean Peninsula and advance harmony and peace throughout that region.

He also urged people to remember victims of conflict suffering in Africa and the Middle East.
